Do you have gluten free options?
Yes! We have gluten free donuts from Do-Rite Donuts and gluten free sandwich bread.
Do you have non-dairy options?
We do! Our beverages can be made with almond, soy, or oat milk, as well as traditional dairy.
Do you have caffeine options that aren't coffee?
Of course, we serve tea brewed to order. Get it iced or hot!
I changed my mind, I don't want caffeine. Do you have any caffeine free drinks?
Our coffee is great but we understand feeling over caffeinated. We also serve Herbal Teas and Milkshakes made from paletas! You can pick and choose your own flavors. Milkshakes can be made with traditional dairy, almond milk, soy milk, or oat milk.
What are sandwiches?
Sandwiches come in many shapes, sizes and varieties. Most commonly, they involve a hot or cold protein option, vegetables of some kind, and a schmear of condiments "sandwiched" if you will, between two pieces of bread. Our sandwiches are prepared with freshly cooked eggs, delicious Boar's Head premium meats and cheeses, fresh bakery bread, croissants or bagels, and crispy vegetables.
Tell me about your coffee.
Not a question per se, but we love to talk about our coffee! We get our beans from Chicago roaster
Hexe. Our drip coffee is their Behemoth and our espresso is Fever Dream. We also have retail bags available for purchase.
What about flavor options?
Glad you asked. We carry an assortment of Torani flavored syrups and our own house made chocolate and caramel that we use to make hot chocolate, mochas and lattes.
I can't find the café, where are you located exactly?
Sunflour is located at 4250 North Marine Drive inside of the Go Grocer at the south end of the Imperial Towers Condominiums. It's a quick two block walk from Montrose Beach and easily accessible from Lake Shore Drive or the CTA . The 136 bus and the 146 bus stop right outside, and the 78 bus is just down the block.
Do you take reservations?
We do not do reservations, but we have plenty of seating in the café and there are usually seats available. We have reopened to full capacity so you can sit and enjoy your food and drink.
